Can't access MySQL databases
« on: March 17, 2005, 03:51:19 PM »

I can no longer directly access my databases through the cPanel. I have done so previously, but now when I try to use the link to MyPHPAdmin, all I get is a blank page.
I have a serious error to contend with on my site and have to be able to get directly into the database. How do I do this?

Thanks
Joe

Sorry, the above post should say "PHPMyAdmin" instead of MyPHPAdmin". My bad...

Without having any idea what your domain name is, what plan level you have etc., there is nothing we can do to assist you.

I'm not even sure I am understanding what you are asking.  Are you saying you have phpmyadmin but your databases are gone?

No, I was saying that the link to phpMyAdmin just took me to a blank page....

But it's a moot point now. I tried again just minutes ago and it worked. Go figure!

Thanks for replying so quickly, though.

Wolf,
I'm on Phoenix, my domain is www.pleasantdalechurch.org.
I tried several times, even switched from Firefox to IE, got the same result. That was from my computer here at work. When I got home, I tried from there using Mozilla, and it opened right up. This morning I tried again from here at work, and got the blank page again. After clicking the refresh button twice, it eventually opened up. So, it must just be timing out or the server is overloaded or something?

It might be an issue with your proxy server or firewall at work timing out.  Phoenix server load is usually around 0.25 and I haven't seen it go above 1.0 yet.  You don't usually start seeing slow downs until a server is over about 8.0 and even then it isn't bad unless it stays at that level.

Phoenix has about 300 sites on it and quad processors don't max out until there are usually well over 1500 sites on it.

peace
