G'day George... Messaging between members is switched on by default so each user can contact another user just by knowing his or her username. Under each user's name on the left of their post should be an "IM" button. Click that and you can sent a message to that user. There's also an option at the bottom of a user's profile page that you can use to send them a message. As far as emailing goes, users can choose whether or not to hide their email address in their profile under "account related settings". There's an option there to "Hide email address from public?". If users choose to hide their email address, only administrators can see it. I hope that answers your question. Andrew

You've done the correct thing. Checking "allow" under personal messaging should do it. Make sure, however that the primary group that each member belongs to has the same permissions.
Two ways to do this: 1. Check every member's primary group and ensure the permissions are set (long and boring way to do it) 2. Allow personal messaging on each and every member group (every one except guests that is). That should cover all possibilities
Let me know how it goes.
