HELP WITH PHPBB ADMIN LOGIN

I set up the phpBB for my website based on what I understood while typing in the url links etc. and i realized later that i typed in the wrong path to associate it with my specific webpage. when i tried to go back into the admin. area, all i get is a "page cannot be displayed" page, referring me back to my ownwebsite. did my typing in the wrong path cause me to not be able to get into the admin area of phpBB??? thanks!!!

Ok, if i can get someone to reply. i still havent solved the problem  and i am wondering, would i be better off just un unstalling the phpbb from the cpanel and then reinstalling the right way??? will i use another mysql database to reinstall it?? somehow during the intall, something didnt go right and i just cannot get to the admin area to try to fix it. every link i hit gives me the " page cannot be displayed" screen.  would appreciate some help!

I don't know who here is familiar with PhpBB.

You dont say how you installed it, how you know what the path to admin should be if you mistyped it somewhere during install, so I can't even guess.

Did you get in to admin and then change something?  I did that once in php-nuke phpbb mod and had to go in to the database by phpmyadmin and change the paths back.

If you know what the path should be to your admin.php, type that into your browser, it should let you in.  I'm using phpbb2 for a site I'm building on another host, and I did that by accident myself.  I was able to go directly to my admin.php area by typing in the path properly, then was able to change the preferences so that the correct path was called.  Took me a few tries to finally figure out that is what was happening, but the direct path did let me in.
