Contribution Installations
« on: November 04, 2005, 02:14:59 PM »

I'm brand new to E-commerce, PhP and OsCommerce.  I have set up a store in OsCommerce, but am having a problem w/ Paypal payments being successfully completed in the store.  The customer is pulled out of the website to Paypal & the money is taken, but the auto return only works if the customer is an established paypal customer.  If the customer doesn't have a paypal acct, when they click return to merchant, they are returned to a login screen in the store & the sale doesn't complete.  I've read through some of the other forums and even found a contribution that I've been told will solve the problem, however I don't know how to use it.  I need step by step instruction on what to do once I download the contribution to my computer.

Please help.  the URL is www.urbanchristiangear.com

Even a basic explanation of what contributrions do and how they work would help some, but specific instructions would be better.

Most contributions require you to edit the various php and/or configuration files of OSC.  Some also require additional fields to be added to the database.

Each contribution, and its method of implementation is different, so there is no way to tell you exactly what to do.  There should be a README.TXT file that will contain step by step instructions for the particular contribution.

peace
