When I go to sohoadmin and try to use the Advanced Features Group, all but Site Data Tables are grayed out. When you click on one of them, such as Event Calendar, it says Your current license does not allow you to access this feature. During the installation I selected all the features to be installed, but it still won't let me use them.
I even went to the Soho site and tried to buy the license, but is said that the site was licensed.
How do I get them enabled?

I think someone said there was a problem with fantastico installing it right if it is in a subdomain. If you are doing that the features will show grey. You dont need to buy any licenses I am sure of that

Ouch! That's good to know. I wonder when Fantastico will fix that.

Thanks. The tech support was able to fix it. And yes there is a problem with sudomains. A real pain. This is the reply Toby sent me:
Apparently there is an issue with subdomain installations unless the subdomain has actually been created via WHM instead of via CPanel so that the subdomain has its own CPanel. Your installation required SohoLaunch to actually edit something in the license manager... very odd and hopefully they will get this bug fixed soon.

Yep - unfortunately support for Soho in fantastico isn't as high priority as most of the other applications it auto installs. This is because unless the server owner purchases licenses every month for soho, that application cant be installed. Since 90% of fantastico licensed hosts do NOT purchase soho licenses, and since the problem is ONLY when someone tries to use it on a subdomain....well you get the drift. Plus there is a work around - if someone installs it on a subdomain and they let us know there is an issue, we can go directly to the partner licensing server and fix the add on features. Not the best solution, but I won't hold my breath for a fix from Fantastico....chuckle peace Wolf
