Received an email stating we need to update our phpwebsite. Need some assistance on how to do that. web site is http://www.trinityneenah.orgthanks, If you have NOT added any mods or themes, first try fantastico. It will auto upgrade. If you HAVE added mods or themes, go to http://www.alphaone-tech.com/client/app_support.htm There are a few PhpWebsite support sites listed there where people who are intimately familiar with the application can assist you. Peace Wolf

Well, I am not sure I added any modules or themes. If I did add themes, I would not care if I lost them, since we are using the default theme anyway.
If I added any modules, and autoupdated with Fantastico, what would happen? Would everything just update but I would lose my 3rd party modules? If so, I can live with that (since I don't know what modules come with phpWebsite, and which would have been added).
So, how do I go about autoupdating with fantastico? What url do I log into to perform this function?
We started this last year, and all I have been doing since is updating the web site. So, if there is a place I am suppose to be able to perform these updates, I don't know about it.
thanks,

OK, I think I have found how to update (cPanel X), but I don't know if I should.
I looked at the control panel for my phpwebsite (Administrator), and I have core modules, and I have other modules.
I have a lot of "other modules" installed (and 1 not installed).
Are these the modules I cannot have installed if I want to update?
The "Other Modules" I have installed are:
Announcements, Block Maker, Branch Creator, Calendar, Comment Manager, phpWebsite Debugger, Document Manager, FAQ, Link Manager, Menu Manager, Module Maker, Notes, Web Pages, Form Generator, Photo Albums, Bulletin Board, RSS News Feeds, Poll, Skeleton Module
If I have to, could I just "uninstall" all of these, update, and then re-install these?
thanks,

Good morning If you auto update with Fantastico and any of those modules are 3rd party modules, yes they may be lost. If they are all internal PhpWebsite modules that you just turn on and off depending on your needs, then no, they will not be affected at all. I'm not sure if this answers your question, but if you did NOT specifically upload a module to install in PhpWebsite, all of the modules installed are part of the original package and will not be affected. I updated to phpWebsite .10 using Fantastico. Will I get a report saying that everything is fine now? thanks
