I am a greenhorn so please forgive the stupid questions...
I want to set up an area of my website that can only be accessed via a log on. I have tried using the password protected folder approach, but that isn't working, I think because I'm using FrontPage 2003 and my index.htm page has a link to pages in the password protected folder. When I go with this approach, the log on screen pops up when I visit the home page -- which is supposed to be a public page. I don't want this to happen.
I have searched the forums here, the web for an easy solution, but have found very little to address my issue. Either my issue is soooo basic that there's nothing out there and I'm just too stupid to know how to make this work, OR I don't know enough of the vocabulary to know that I'm finding what I'm looking for.
Can anyone take a moment of time to help me work through this problem?? I'd be greatly appreciative!
In Christ, Kelly

I figured it out!!! I finally understood how to access my website on the server via FrontPage, and use the server admin site to help me set user restrictions. I just keep shooting from the hip and finally get things to work. Kelly
